Reading at the University of Oklahoma

Last year, I opened the latest issue of AGNI and was stunned to see an essay by novelist Rilla Askew about the the small Oklahoma town where, it turns out, we both grew up. I was an instant fan. We started a lovely correspondence and I was thrilled when Rilla and Crag Hill invited me to read for University of Oklahoma’s Mark Allen Everett Poetry Series, which took place last week at Green Feather Books, a native-owned independent bookshop. So grateful to Rilla and Crag for sharing their time with me so generously and to all the people and fellow poets who gathered at the reading. A truly wonderful night!
